Retroactive Medicaid may count towards three months of Medicaid needed to qualify for TMA if the parent or caretaker relative:
- Qualifies for all three months of retroactive Medicaid as a low-income parent or caretaker relative and selects these months when choosing a program; and
- Resolves any outstanding income verifications for retroactive Medicaid; and
- Meets the above eligibility criteria for TMA.
Once any income verifications for retroactive Medicaid are resolved, a change report on the application is needed so that the household’s eligibility for TMA can be redetermined.
