Form 1095-B is an IRS tax form that serves as proof that you or members of your household met the Affordable Care Act requirement to have health coverage.
If anyone in your household was enrolled in Medicaid or the Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP) through Maryland Health Connection this year, you will receive a tax form, Form 1095-B. The Form 1095-B will be mailed to you on Jan. 31.
You should review Form 1095-B to be sure the information is correct, and then save the form with your other important tax documents.
You do not need to send this form to the IRS when filing your income taxes, if you file taxes. If you do file taxes, you will check a box on your tax return to indicate you had health coverage for that year.
