In 2026, Maryland residents of any age with incomes up to 400% FPL may be able to receive help paying for their monthly health insurance costs thanks to a new state program. This financial help is in addition to the Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC or “federal financial help”).
Are you eligible for state financial help?
The amount of financial help you receive will vary based on your income, family size, and ZIP code. Find out if you qualify for the Maryland premium assistance with the Get an Estimate tool.
Below is an example of what you might save if you enroll in a Silver plan. Eligible Marylanders will receive this financial help automatically when enrolling in any bronze, silver, gold, or platinum plan sold through Maryland Health Connection.
Marylanders ages 18-37 receive extra help in addition to the Maryland Premium Assistance.
