How to submit documents

After you apply for coverage through Maryland Health Connection, you may need to verify information in your application. You will receive a notice in your inbox if we need documents to complete your application.

It is important to submit verification documents right away, or your coverage may end. If you are eligible for Medicaid or Maryland Children’s Health Program, coverage is pending until you provide documents and they have been approved.

How do you submit documents?

1. Log into your account and upload documents using the link in My Inbox.
2. Download our free mobile app, Enroll MHC, to submit documents using the camera of your mobile device.
3. If you get a message that your document is not legible, be sure to use a good quality scan or photo and try again. Make sure you hold the camera steady. Put the document in a well lit area, against a dark background. Be sure to use the correct format and size. If you think you uploaded the wrong document, just upload the right one. The Enroll MHC app makes it easy to upload documents using the camera.
4. Get free help submitting your documents from a local certified navigator.
5. If you are unable to submit documents online, you may mail them to Maryland Health Connection, P.O. Box 857, Lanham, MD 20703. Do not send in originals. Include the bar-coded cover sheet provided in your notice or write your name and application ID clearly on the document. If you do not know your application ID, do not mail in your documents.
