Changes to eligibility for financial help are coming in 2026 and 2027.

Starting on January 1, 2026, Federal law removes eligibility for financial help for people who:

  • Are ineligible for Medicaid due to immigration status and 
  • Have income less than 100% of the FPL (people in the 5-year waiting period for Medicaid). 

All lawfully present individuals will still be eligible to enroll in private plans, but will no longer be eligible for financial help.
